SHOPPING
Large Carrefour in the middle of a large shopping mall with restaurants and shops including several that SELL SIM CARDS for mobile phones.
A visit to CARREFOUR is all part of the Le Mans week experience - it is THE PLACE TO STOCK UP FOR THE RACE. It also has good WCs - (Carrefour entrance, turn right and on the right at the end near another entrance door) and several cafes for B’fast or snack lunches, some of which have WCs. There is a Cafeteria restaurant on the very far left of the complex when facing the Carrefour entrance about 50m from that entrance or go through the shopping centre and just keep going left until you get to the end, and it is on your right before the entrance to the underground car park.
FUEL usually very good price AND IS OPEN SUNDAY BUT ONLY using a credit card.
ICE - usually in big solid blocks or ice cubes in the frozen cabinet facing the fresh fruit section. Also if you are lucky you can blag some ice in ordinary plastic bags off the fish stall (main left /right drag, ¾ of the way going left facing the fresh vegs).
BEER - normally some beer promos as you enter the store on your left - they give you a discount voucher as you come in . Take one because there are no vouchers in the main beer section on the back left wall.
WINE - Big selection with some very good offers - on aisle one in from the far left wall.
WATER - far left wall near check out end.
SOFT DRINKS - near the water.
GAZ - Almost straight ahead (30m from entrance) over the left/right aisle as you come in. At the front end of an aisle going at right angles to main left/right drag.
CAMPING KIT - Near GAZ
CHARCOAL
- in front of the GAZ normally facing the left/right main drag.
