WHERE TO EAT IN THE OLD TOWN

This was compiled in 2019. COVID has decimated the hospitality industry - Le Mans is no different. 

This is where the OLD TOWN Restaurants were - you will find some open in the locations below.

This is the  area up at the level of the Cathedral.  There are a series of quite reasonable restaurants along the Rue Grand and downwards toward the main road - Eperon Aigne.  This is the area known as "Plantagenet City".


The selection process for the Old Town was we just walked around the place in April '19! Thanks Lauren!  Please look at the restaurants below and use the reference to find them on the map.  All Old Town Restaurants start with OT.


Please note that these Restaurants are not recommendations more a collection we have gathered to make things easier for you.   Over the 20 odd years I have been going to the 24hr  I have most probably eaten in most of them - BUT as you will know things can change quickly; chef goes or management have different ideas!     So I can't guarantee the experience.  We did our recce Apr '18 so the information should be reasonably up to date.
